Well hello there! It's been a while since I wrote a blog post in English.
Last year, I run a project called "Written In English Project" on this blog, where every month I wrote at least one post in English. You can read about the project here, and some of my post are:
- How My Father Met My Mother
- Fashion Week Spring/Summer'14
Unfortunately, I decided to stop doing the project. Due to lack of time consistency and ideas, I haven't post any English articles this year.
Until today.
I challenge myself to write another post in English, and not like any article I've made before, this is my version of an A to Z Alphabetical (Life) Advice. Read through one by one, and I assure you will get 'something' in every sentence.

[Written in English Project #5]: Love More & Judge Less!
I am a mother. But you won't find many parenting articles in this blog. It's not that I don't want to share about my parenthood stories and experiences. Like any other mothers, I'd looove to talk about my children. But one thing I found--and HATE it a lot!--is that how women (esp. mothers) like to judge other mothers' parenting style and decisions.
Dear moms all over the world, let's end this mother war. Let's love more and judge less.

This is my 5th article for my "Written in English - Project" on this blog. Every month, I'll make 1 (or more) post(s) in English. I was suppose to make this post on October -_-' Anyway, better late than never, right? :P Feel free to comment on this subject or my English writing ;) Thanks!

[Written in English Project #4]: Fashion Week S/S'14
This is my 4th article for my "Written in English - Project" on this blog. Obviously, the purpose of this project is to practice my English writing. Therefore, you'll find many errors :") and I'll be waiting for any comments--whether about the content or the grammar :D
While thinking about what to write, I found a fact that my previous post titled "The September Issue" which talks (a very bit) about fashion actually got quite good responses. So, I decided to post another article about fashion. I would review some inspirational look from Fashion Week - Spring/Summer 2014 Collection in four main cities: New York, London, Milan, and Paris.
# Before reading through, kindly note that I am not an expert on fashion, and this review is based on my personal taste. #

[Written in English Project #3]: Got Hit
![]() |
:: pic source :: |
This year, this month, on August 15th to be exact, I am turning 30 years old. Entering a new decade of my life. And I must say, this couple of years I met some hardest days of my life. God has granted me a lot of challenges and problems. Though I’m a believer and I have faith that God never gave me problems beyond my strength, but honestly there are times when I feel that all the problems hit me so hard and I can’t hit back, so I prefer just lay down and give up. Many times I feel like a loser. I lost my battle of life, because I get hit repeatedly and can never hit back.
But then I read this quote, and I realize that I haven’t lost. I am surviving. It ain’t about how hard I can hit. It’s about how I got hit hard but I’m still standing; and how I (should) keep moving forward.

[Written in English Project #2]: How My Father Met My Mother
Apparently, my dad doesn't need 9 seasons like Ted Mosby to tell how he met my mom :p
*no I'm not dishing How I Met Your Mother series, it's one of my favorite show*
The story was told loooooong time ago. Nevertheless, the story remains in my head and my heart as one of the sweetest and cutest story I've ever heard :') Hopefully I can re-tell the story quite well, so you got that same fuzzy feeling after reading this, just like me when I heard it.
She just arrived at church for her regular choir practice, when she spots a newcomer guy sitting on one of the church bench. Nobody else was there, so the girl decided to greet him.
"Hey there new guy, are you going to join the choir?"
"Umm, yes."
"Welcome then. I'm sure you'll learn a lot here. Hopefully you can keep up, though. This choir has a great reputation and lots of achievements, so you better be serious dude! You're lucky to be here, don't waste that chance."
"I will. Thanks for the warning. I'm Sontang, what's you name?"
"Nurita."
After that introduction between the girl and the new guy, some other choir members are coming. And the practice are about to start, when suddenly the new guy got up from his chair and introduce himself.
"Good afternoon everybody, my name is Sontang Tampubolon and I'm the new choir coach."
The girl's face turn red. But she's smiling. "This guy surely have some sense of humor," she thinks.
And the guy is also smiling. "That girl is brave and confident. And she can laugh at herself," he thinks.
Both of them feels a special first impression from each other.
That guy didn't even bother the fact that the girl is actually not really a good singer. She can't read notes. She's only good at following tones. Therefore she can fit in a choir, where she can sing together with other people :D
Long story short, they fell in love and build a strong relationship.
The girl is my mom. The guy is my [rest in peace] dad.

Written in English Project #1
After blog-walking to several blogs, especially Indonesian fashion blogs that got famous globally, I notice something quite obvious: it's all WRITTEN IN ENGLISH. It doesn't take a genius to discover that if you want people from all around the world to read or see your blog, then you have to write in a global language: English.
So this gives me an idea to start a project called: "Written in English Project." Every month, I'll write 1 post (or more) that is written in English. The post can talk about anything, it's just have to be in English. This is challenging for me, yet very exciting. Please do not think that this project is about showcasing my English ability. Instead, this project would be my media to learn writing properly in English. Therefore, I will be happy to meet any of you "grammar-nazis" to give me critics and corrections. Haha.
'Till we meet again!
